Our popular Island Bures (bungalows) are nestled amongst the resort’s lush tropical gardens. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent.

Ocean View Bure
Ocean View bures (bungalows) are close to the beach and enjoy water views, whilst being nestled amongst the resort’s lush tropical gardens. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. Most bures have one king bed with two single beds having a sliding privacy screen separating the two bedroom areas. All bures are spacious and stylishly appointed with distinctive natural timbers and comfortable soft furnishings and are within a few minutes walk to the beach front, restaurants and sporting facilities.

Beach Bures (bungalows) are located along the two north and south facing beaches of Castaway Island, all with uninterrupted water views. Castaway is serviced by South Sea Cruises via fast, 150 seat, split deck air-conditioned catamarans. The departs from port Denerau 3 times a day:
9am, 12.15am and 3.15pm
Check-in time is thirty minutes prior to departure and cruising time is approximately one hour, thirty minutes.
The ferry departs Castaway 3 times a day for the journey back to Port Denerau:
10.50am, 13.50pm, 16.20pm
Reach Castaway by Seaplane:
PACIFIC ISLAND AIR offer Amphibious floatplanes.
They depart Nadi International Airport and from other locations by prior reservation arrangement. Flight time to Castaway is approximately ten minutes from Nadi.
The seaplane departs several times a day on an unset schedule.
Reach Castaway by Helicopter
Helicopters seating a maximum of six persons depart Nadi International Airport and from other locations by prior reservation arrangement. Flight time to Castaway is approximately ten minutes from Nadi
